Fed: Health fund says Australians back lifetime cover
A survey by health insurer MBF says more than two-thirds of Australians support the
federal government's incentive to boost private health insurance coverage.
The government this week began warning Australians they have until July 1 to take out
private health insurance or face progressively higher premiums if they opt to take up
private cover later.
But the MBF says few people are aware of how the new system -- to be known as Lifetime
Health Cover -- will work.
